Our Gas Technician 1 course complies with the theoretical and practical Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) training curriculum for the Gas Technician 1 (G.1) certification and includes modules 26 through 32. This G.1 course prepares you to write the EX 03 TSSA Gas Technician 1 Exam.

Prerequisites

You must have 4,000 hours of relevant experience as a G.2-licensed gas technician with 500 supervised hours working on inputs over 400,000 BTUH. You must present proof in the form of detailed documentation.

Additional Information

Attendance Requirements:

You must attend a minimum of 80% of the scheduled classes to qualify for the EX 03 TSSA Gas Technician 1 Exam.

Course Essentials:

You must have and wear your own CSA-approved safety footwear and protective eyewear while in shop areas.

Grade Requirements:

This course covers both the theoretical education and the practical training required. You must achieve a grade average of 75% or higher on the theoretical education and 75% or higher on the practical training to qualify for the EX 03 TSSA Gas Technician 1 Exam.
