Biography:
Julie Mannell is an author of poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, and criticism. Julie won both the Mona Elaine Adilman Poetry Prize and the Lionel Shapiro Award for Creative Writing while completing her Bachelor of Arts degree at McGill University. She also won the Constance Rooke/HarperCollins MFA in Creative Writing Scholarship while at the University of Guelph. In 2017, Julie was named one of the “30 After 30 Under 30” by Arc Poetry Magazine, and, the next year, she made the CBC Poetry Prize shortlist. In addition to her creative writing, Julie has written articles for a variety of publications across North America and Europe.
