Cinematography, Lighting, and Sound Production LIBA 9109

On Campus

Our Cinematography, Lighting, and Sound Production course provides emerging digital cinematographers and filmmakers with a comprehensive foundation in both the technical aspects and the creative aspects of motion picture production. Through an in-depth exploration of digital cinematography, develop a strong understanding of camera technology, visual storytelling, and aesthetic principles while focusing on camerawork, lighting, and location sound recording. Build essential post-production skills through the exploration of non-linear editing and colour grading workflows. Hands-on exercises, in-class labs, and home film assignments help reinforce the lessons and foster a practical, experience-driven approach. Receive constructive critiques as you shoot, light, and edit your own short films – ranging from visually expressive portraits to more complex documentaries and narrative projects.
