Research in Nursing NURS 1124
This course is designed for internationally educated nurses (IENs) completing the Nursing for IEN: Competency Upgrade Pathway.
OntarioLearn description: In this course, you will examine concepts related to evidence informed practice. You will explore scientific inquiry within nursing praxis, relevance and use of various research paradigms, and methodologies and ethics in practice and human research scenarios. You will engage in critical appraisal of research evidence and apply principles and concepts of knowledge translation and effective knowledge transfer at individual and systems levels.
Prerequisites
You must be an IEN, be a resident of Ontario, and have a letter from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) containing the results of your educational assessment and outlining the additional education you need in order to become registered in Ontario as a general class RN.
