Sommelier Management HOST 9116

On Campus

Our Sommelier Management course recognizes that a successful sommelier must have excellent product knowledge in order to be able to identify which products are best suited to the style of a restaurant and its clientele. Become skilled at sourcing, wine-list development, sales and marketing, cellar management, and inventory. In addition to studying the law in Ontario, learn how to develop a professional manner for dealing with staff and explore the current human resource practices and training that are used to both create a top-notch workforce and operate a successful wine program. This module concludes with a final service exam and a project.
