Surface Design 1 FASH 9291
Our Surface Design 1 course helps you build the basic skills you need to create artwork for use on everyday objects such as gift-wrap, wall coverings, home décor, and apparel. This surface design course guides you to seek and document inspiration in order to create original designs. Learn to experiment with manual techniques for mark making and how to use industry standard software to transform your hand-rendered work into digital motifs and repeat patterns. Practice using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to prepare files that can be used to print-on-demand onto a variety of products. This design course stresses research methods and challenges your creativity and concept development.
Prerequisites
You must be computer literate.
Recommendations
You will have the most success in this course if you already have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications before you start this course. You may wish to consider our COMP 9591 Introduction to Adobe Creative Cloud (Online) course.
