Technical Communication Program
Our Technical Communication Program teaches you the key principles involved in planning, developing, and producing technical publications. A hands-on approach helps you develop and strengthen your skills in analysis, writing, and editing for both print and online texts. Composed of a number of interrelated courses, this technical writing and publishing program is intended as much for those seeking the knowledge and abilities required for entry-level positions as for those looking for career advancement.
The Technical Communication Program will not be offered after April 2025. If you are currently pursuing this program or interested in completing it, note that each of the four required courses will be offered one last time between now and then: COMM 9093 Technical Writing and Analysis (Online) in Spring 2024, COMM 9134 Technical Writing for Product Documentation (Online) in Fall 2024, and COMM 9094 Technical Editing (Online) and COMM 9158 Technical Documentation: Advanced Concepts (Online) in Winter 2025. If you have any questions, contact the Liberal Studies Department co-ordinator for further information.
