Our Asian Desserts course teaches you a variety of baking and pastry skills from different Asian countries. Explore a diverse range of pastries and desserts from Japan, China, Thailand, Korea, the Philippines and India. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice, learn to make mochi, Japanese cheesecake, egg tarts, custard buns, halo-halo, gulab jamun, kulfi, and more. Use distinctive ingredients such as matcha, durian, red bean, ube, coconut, black sesame, avocado, and lychee.

You must bring your full George Brown chef uniform, black safety shoes (non-slip and steel toe) and tools to the first class.

Prerequisites

You must have completed our HOSF 9134 Baking Arts course or our HOSF 9461 Baking Arts (Online) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
